Robert Dante

Robert Dante is a renowned producer, performer, composer and expert engineer. His most recent credits include “The Champion” by Carrie Underwood, featuring Ludacris, which reached #1 on iTunes and went on to become the official song of both Super Bowl LII and the 2018 Winter Olympics. Robert Dante has written and produced soundtracks for numerous independent films such as “Bloodline” and “Little Things”. He has also worked with various international artists and producers including Waka Flocka, Gavin Degraw, Jim Jonsin, Armin Van Buuren, Rey Ruiz, Salaam Remi, Ludacris and Carrie Underwood.

Unearthing his talent at 6 years old, Robert began developing his gift for playing piano and singing at an early age. By his teens and early twenties, he had become proficient in both classical and jazz theory and performance. He went on to study in Los Angeles under the tutelage of renowned jazz pianist Tamir Hendlemen, where Robert’s exceptional talent earned him numerous awards and scholarships such as The David Alpert Scholarship at Los Angeles City College, The Leslie P. Clausen Scholarship, also at Los Angeles City College, and The National Honor Society at The University of Central Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

In 2003 Robert Dante moved to South Florida and established Miami’s own Velvet Basement Recording Studio. Velvet Basement is a premium, full service recording studio and has been a consistent and trusted resource for major labels, acclaimed recording artists, professional songwriters and producers for over 15 years. Partnering with other producers and engineers including renowned Nashville/LA producer Jim Jonsin, Robert Dante continues to collaborate with new and celebrated artists in LA, Nashville and Miami.
