DRIFTING LFOs

Let´s see how we can get out of sync modulation. We want to send a modulation close to a 1/16 note into Autofilter´s cutoff frequency inaccurately, so it does’t get boring.

Using one of the multiple delay calculator that are available in the internet we can check that 1/16 note at 90 bpm is 6 Hz.

We set the rate in the LFO to free and we can get closer to 6 Hz. Either above or below in order to get out of a perfect synced modulation.

Try this on multiple modulations to create evolving passages without falling into obvious repetition. One modulation could be higher, and the other one lower than a sync value. We recommend to get out of symmetry too. If you choose to raise one modulation a certain value, try a completely different value for the other one.
